Does AI get your facts right?

Not always. Asked about our tax practice on 27 October 2026, Perplexity said two people from another firm founded it in July 2009, and that it runs payroll. Neither is true. Google’s AI Mode and AI Overviews described it correctly.

Questions and answers.

What is AEO?

AEO, short for answer engine optimization, is the work of making AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI more likely to name your business when someone asks a question you can answer. It covers the pages AI reads, the facts it repeats and the sites it trusts.

How is AEO different from SEO?

SEO aims for a high place in Google’s list of links. AEO aims for a place inside the answer itself, where an AI tool names a few businesses and most people stop reading. The work overlaps: clear pages, correct details and trusted listings help both.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?

No. Nobody controls what AI tools say, and anyone who promises a place in their answers is guessing. We promise the work and the measurement: you see the real answers before and after, with their dates.

How long does it take?

The free check takes one business day. After setup we ask the same questions twice a month. AI tools change their answers on their own schedule, so we compare against your baseline over about three months, and we only call something a change when it holds in two runs in a row.

Do I need a new website?

No. We work on the site you have. If it runs on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a booking platform, we make the changes there, and Monthly includes up to two hours of edits. Moving to a new site is optional and quoted separately.

Which AI tools do you check?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. We ask each one the same questions, set to Canada, and keep every answer with its date so you can read exactly what it said.

What do you do with my details?
